#UnlockTheContest was a large-scale UGC campaign to help promote the new adidas Soccer Nemeziz footwear products through Soccer.com's social media audience of over 5.5 million followers. Followers were tasked with showcasing their creativity through creating and uploading their top soccer skills for chance to win a trip of a lifetime. We challenged followers to impress us with their skill, style and creativity through social media. 

The contest included cross-channel marketing support and tapped into the well-connected Soccer.com social media community to identify top U.S. based soccer influencers to help amplify the contest message, increase adidas brand awareness and help drive sell-through on key footwear products.

Throughout the four week campaign, followers were tasked with earning "badges" for each successful skill demonstrated based on a list of 22 competition challenges. To enter, contestants could submit directly on Instagram using #unlockthecontest or upload directly on the contest landing page. The more badges earned, the better shot they had at winning. In the end only one winner could be chosen as the ultimate U.S. soccer creator. Over 700 entries were judged on skill, style, creativity, amount of badges earned and video votes.
